This is a custom sample lesson for a beginner that covers the nouns and genders of the noun, along with singular and plural of the nouns.
Naming people and things
Use Кто (who) to identify people:

The rest of the consonants are soft only if they are paired with a soft sign –ь
You need to recognize hard and soft nouns in order to make them plural. Hard nouns are kept hard in the plural by adding a hard vowel, soft nouns are kept soft in the plural by adding a soft vowel for the plural. If there is a soft sign, it needs to be dropped in the plural form.
